At this time, Najid is focused on supporting UAE nationals. We hope to extend it further in future.

Using our legal experience to help the community.

Beyond our client work, Al Safar & Partners commits time and expertise to initiatives that widen access to justice in the UAE. Our current focus is helping individuals who may have been affected by unfair or excessive loan, financing and instalment arrangements.

Our current initiative

Najid — Loan & Instalment Support

Many residents in the UAE take on loans, credit, or buy-now-pay-later and instalment plans in good faith — and later find the true cost far higher than they understood, or the collection conduct far harsher than they expected. Some of these arrangements may not meet the disclosure, affordability, or licensing standards the law expects.

Through Najid — our community programme for loan and instalment fairness — our lawyers offer to review an individual's situation and documents and, where we believe we can assist, to help them pursue the options available — from raising the matter with the appropriate authorities to negotiating with the provider or, where appropriate, pursuing legal proceedings.

We cannot promise to take on every matter, and we cannot promise any particular outcome — but where someone has been treated unfairly, we will look carefully and do our best to help.

Individual or grouped action

Where many people are affected by the same provider or programme, matters may be reviewed together for coordinated action.

Please note. Sharing information with us does not guarantee that we will accept your matter, and it does not create a lawyer–client relationship. We do not reach any legal conclusion until our lawyers have reviewed the facts, and we will not tell you that a lender or programme is unlawful — we gather the facts so our lawyers can assess them. Any information you provide is handled in line with our Privacy Policy.
