DIFC Wills for
International Families
An English-language will under a common-law framework, registered at the DIFC Wills Service Centre — with video-conference registration available so the whole process can be completed from wherever you are. Mr. Niaz Brohi guides you from will-type selection to registered will.
What Is a DIFC Will?
The DIFC Wills Service Centre — a joint initiative of the Dubai International Financial Centre and Dubai Courts — allows eligible non-Muslims to register English-language wills under a common-law framework, giving full testamentary freedom over how your estate is distributed.
Probate of a DIFC will is handled through the DIFC Courts, whose orders are enforced through the Dubai Courts system. For many international families, the familiarity of a common-law will, in English, with a court system used to cross-border estates, is the decisive factor.
Registration appointments can be conducted by video conference, which is what makes the DIFC route particularly suited to a fully remote process — including for testators who are outside the UAE at the time of registration.
Eligibility at a glance
